Speed up Windows Vista - A Trick to Make Windows Vista Run Like New

Windows Vista might be the latest operating system from Microsoft, but it's still got the age-old problem of it running slowly. This is an issue which even the most advanced computers cannot avoid, and is one which you really need to fix quickly otherwise your system will just get slower and slower.

To fix your slow system, you need to determine what's causing it to run slowly. This is what all computer technicians do, and the first step is to determine if it's a software or hardware issue. To do this, you must reboot your Windows Vista PC and then load it up in "Safe Mode" (reboot Windows and then press F8 continuously when the first black & white screen loads. Then from the options, select "safe mode"). This mode will load up Windows without any of the drivers or software that often cause it to run slow, and if the system runs slow in this mode, it means that there's likely a problem with your hardware which you should take to see a technician.

If your PC does not run slowly in safe mode, then it shows that there's a problem with the software inside the Windows system itself. If this is the case, you must first restart Windows back into normal mode. When it's loaded, you should first remove any software programs that you don't want or use on your system. This will remove files and settings that can cause your system to run slowly.

You should also go through all your downloads and delete any files that you don't want any more. This will allow Windows to read all the information & data it needs without having to surf through 1,000's of junk files to get there; speeding up your PC and making it run more reliably. You should also make sure that you have no viruses or any other infection on your system by running an antivirus scan. Viruses can cause Windows to run extremely slowly.

Finally, there's a trick that not many people are aware of, but can speed up your system a lot. You could try cleaning out the 'registry' with a registry cleaner application to make it run faster. The registry is basically the central storage depot for your system, and is where all the settings and details for Windows are kept. Unfortunately, many of these settings get damaged and unreadable, which makes Windows run extremely slowly as it tries to decode the files it needs. Over time, many Windows Vista computers will get 1,000's of these damaged settings, and you can fix them by using a "registry cleaner" to scan through them and fix them. Depending on how many errors your system has, this could actually speed your computer up dramatically.

If you want to speed up Windows Vista, there are various ways you can do it. However, the easiest and one of the most beneficial ways is to download Windows Vista registry cleaner to speed up your PC.
