What is the 1327 error - How to fix it?

The 1327 error is a problem for many people who are trying to install various pieces of software onto their PC. This error will typically show when you are trying to install Microsoft Office, but can show whenever you are trying to load up a number of different programs; and basically cites that your computer cannot read a particular file / drive on your system. If you have this error, you generally find that there is some sort of issue with the actual settings of your computer, which can be fixed by first looking at the "Administrator Tools" of your PC and then any registry errors you may have.

The error you have will generally show in this format:

Error 1327. Invalid Drive: C:\
Installation ended prematurely because of an error.

The way to cure this problem is to first ensure that your computer has all the files and settings that are required to find the drive letter on your PC. The first step is to click onto "Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Disk Administrator" and then find the hard drive you're trying to install on to. This will then allow you to correct any mis-matches or problems with the drive letters on your system, which will allow your computer to correctly read the settings it needs to run. This should solve most instances of the 1327 error.

On top of this, it's also recommended that you scan through your PC with a 'registry cleaner' program and fix any of the errors your computer has inside. A registry cleaner will scan through the registry database of your system and fix any of the errors which your PC has inside there. the registry database is a central storage facility which keeps all the settings & options of your computer in order, and is what Windows uses to help your PC recall the likes of your most recent emails and even your saved passwords. It could be the case that some registry errors will be causing the 1327 error on your system, allowing your computer to run much smoother as a result.
